Monday Momentum for October 28, 2024 Crews will break ground this week on a new asphalt parking lot on campus, located west of the middle and high schools. This project is the first in a series funded by the bond approved by voters in April of this year. The new lot will replace parking spots displaced by the upcoming construction of the new performing arts center. Dirt work and asphalt paving will take place within the construction fence set up earlier this fall. While some trees will need to be removed during construction, new trees will be planted as part of the completed parking lot. The goal for completing the parking lot is December 2024. J.T. Holman of Macon is the general contractor for this project.

We are keeping Ray Miller students inside for recess. We are working to make sure that students who live in the complex or who take the walking trail have a dismissal plan before the end of the day. Traffic at the east end of Normal Street is blocked and this may impact parent pickup at Ray Miller. We will keep you posted closer to dismissal time.
