Abby graduated from Kirksville High School and Truman State. She was a school liaison as a deputy juvenile officer for Adair County during the past school year. Nina graduated with her bachelors in elementary education from University of Missouri-St. Louis and student taught fifth graders. Please help us welcome Mrs. Hannah Kwon to the district! We are happy to announce that she is joining us as our school based social worker at our Early Childhood Learning Center. Hannah has been a social worker for 16 years total, serving both in Korea and the United States--which includes seven years as a school based social worker in the North Kansas City School District. She told us, "As a school social worker, I am thrilled to return to supporting little children and their families. I am committed to providing trauma-informed care and addressing the social-emotional needs of students." Hannah and her husband, Choongho, recently moved to Kirksville for his appointment as the lead pastor at Kirksville First United Methodist Church. They have two sons: Samuel, who will be a senior at Mizzou, and Stephen, who will be a freshman at Emory University. She told us she is happy to be here in our community as her and Choongho, "adjust to life as empty nesters."
