Please help us welcome Mrs. Becky Ingle to the district! Becky filled in as a long-term middle school English sub for the second part of last year. We are happy to announce that she is joining us full-time as our life skills special education teacher at Kirksville High School!
Becky has taught for 23 years--elementary, middle school, and high school. Her favorite thing about teaching is, "Seeing my students make gains in academics and in their confidence."
Becky and her family moved to Kirksville from Poplar Bluff earlier this year for her husband Tim's new position. Tim is the pastor at Hamilton Street Baptist Church. Becky and Tim are pictured here with their five children, spouses, and their grandchildren. We are happy you are here, Mrs. Ingle! #kvproud #welovekirksville #kvtigers

Our new-to-district teachers are here! Friday the 9th was their first day. We started them off with breakfast from our cafeteria staff, quick welcome remarks from our superintendent, assistant superintendent, curriculum director, and the mayor of the city. Then we loaded them up on a school bus for a field trip and some KVR-3 trivia. They were given a welcome and a quick tour of each building from our principals; and finished their morning with lunch hosted by our school board members.
Community members, get to know our new-to-district teachers in social media posts this week! Let them know we are glad they are here! #kvpride #welovekirksville #kvtigers

Happy Wednesday! More and more of our returning students have been registered! We are down to around 800 returning students who have not yet been registered in Power School.
Please make sure to do this soon to verify your child's information and to request bus transportation. In order for bus transportation on the first day of school (8/20/24) this must be requested in Power School by the end of the day Friday, August 9, 2024. This does not apply to bus transportation for our Early Childhood Learning Center--that is handled by the ECLC building.
If you are struggling to register your children or still do not have your children's snap codes, please call your their buildings.

Don't forget to register all of your children for the 24-25 school year! Emails from Powerschool were sent on July 15th containing a "snap codes" to register each child.
If you haven't registered your children, follow these steps:
1) Check your inboxes and spam folders for snap code emails.
2) Use the codes to register each child at this link: https://enrollment.powerschool.com/family/gosnap.aspx?action=200002420&culture=en
3) Enjoy the rest of summer with your kids!
But, if you cannot locate the email containing the snap code, have your spouse or co-parent/guardian check their inboxes and spam folders.
If you still cannot find your child's snap code, contact the buildings your children will be attending next week (July 29-August 2) and ask for help with your child's snap code.

We are excited to share these recent architect drawings of the Education Center for the Performing Arts or ECPA. These were recently shared with the school board in a report from the construction partners, Building Resource Studio and Navigate Building Solutions. We will begin updating the website page as work continues. Please stay tuned!

We know it is way early, so don't let this make you feel like we are anywhere near August 20th. 2024-25 school supply lists!

Thank you to Kirksville High School Class of 1964 for the donation of a new bench at Spainhower! Pictured with the bench are some of our '64 graduates with our assistant superintendent, Mrs. Reger.

Another grads set, number eight. You only graduate high school once!

Tomorrow is the last day of school. It is a full day with regular dismissal times and bus routes.

Ray Miller Elementary students and staff celebrated the end of MAP testing by filling up the gym and cafeteria with inflatable obstacle challenges. Check out the comments on our Facebook feed for a video of Ms. Hudson and Mrs. Brawner trying to outdo each other!

If you saw Kirksville Fire Department outside of the middle school at 11:30am on Monday, that's just how we keep learning engaging for the last week of school. Mrs. Eitel and KFD were just making sure her 7th grade science students got the greatest height for their egg drop challenge. Check the comments for videos!

Mrs. Hale's 7th grade food science class has been experimenting with denaturing proteins in eggs by adding heat and air. They made mini angel food cakes that look delicious. According to Mrs. Hale, they turned out light, airy, and beautiful. Yum.
