7th grade: Quencie Nichols and Adalynn Brawner
8th grade: Dade Livingston and Leeanna Hale

WMMS Students of the Quarter, Ethan Hale and Colton Pierce. Ethan and Colton were voted Students of the Quarter by the teachers and staff at WMMS from among all of the 8th grade Students of the Week throughout the school year.
Usually, only one student is selected, but this time there was a tie between two very deserving students. Both Ethan and Colton are model students who give their best effort every day. Both of them work hard to achieve their best academically and model excellent character in the classroom and in athletic competition. Ethan is an outstanding wrestler and Colton is an amazing runner. Both students were part of the 4x800m relay that broke the school record this spring! We can’t wait to cheer each of you on in pursuit of the great things you will do at KHS next year!

Safety and cooperation are top of our list for the students and families we serve. To help us help you it is very important that parents who may have joint custody of the children keep the school offices updated on any guardian and emergency contact situations.
The schools strive very hard to ensure students are released only to those persons authorized by you. From time to time legal paperwork determines who those persons can be and it is crucial that school offices are made aware of these and any changes to the documents.
Feel free to contact the school district administration with any questions you may have.

In our Science CSI unit, students investigate a crime scene and sort through evidence to determine who committed the crime. Students have evidence that they sort through and are able to ask teachers questions in trying to determine what happened. At the end of the unit, students will write a claim/evidence paper saying who they think did it and what evidence they have that supports their claim. Our CSI unit develops critical thinking skills as well as help in developing claim/evidence statements.
